Invite All Your Friends To a Facebook Page or Group in One Click!

Have you ever wanted to invite all your friends to a Facebook page or group but you don't have the patience to click everyone in your friends list? The simple answer is in a small bit of code:

javascript:elms=document.getElementById('friends').getElementsByTagName('li');for(var fid in elms){if(typeof elms[fid] === 'object'){fs.click(elms[fid]);}}

Song To Work To - March 10th - Faith No More - Evidence

Today's song to work to is one that I love to have in the background, if I'm working, in the car, or even just relaxing. It works for all.

Bypass "Become A Fan To See..." Pages On Facebook

This has got to be one of the most annoying trends bouncing around Facebook at the moment, basically you are being forced to "Become a fan" of a page to see the funny picture or text they are hiding from you. The annoying thing is that the "goodies" they have waiting for you have been flying around the Internet since the early days of chain e-mails, nothing new!

Anyway, there is a way to get around them.

Song To Work To - March 9th - Tim Minchin - White Whine In The Sun

Today's song to work to is by Tim Minchin, I like having this song playing in the background because it has a calm soothing tone to it, and the end is very up-lifting I think.

Enjoy :)

CAPTCHA For Users

There has been a SERIOUS problem with SPAM on the site lately, the price to pay for being heavily indexed by Google!

But the major problem was a few of the register user accounts where spamming the site left, right and centre! So to stop this until I clear out the culprit accounts I have enabled CAPTCHA on user accounts too. (Sorry!)

Also I have had to make the CAPTCHA challenge a bit more aggressive, so it may be a bit harder for a short while. But once I sort out all the SPAM things will go back to normal.

YouTube as a Music Player?

Just want to write a quick post about music, more out of curiosity than anything else! Lately I've found myself using YouTube as a music player more than listening to the MP3's on my computer. The only thing that used to put me off YouTube for music was the sound quality, but with the high quality options now available, it's perfect for sound.

What do you use for music? YouTube? iTunes?Let me know with comment below.

Ciorcal - Ireland's Online News Community

Ciorcal has changed, I originally started Ciorcal as a service to create, host and maintain online newspapers for whoever wanted one. But it wasn't really working out, the work load was starting to gather a real "snowball" effect. It just wasn't ethical how it was panning out. So I decided it was time for a change. Ciorcal still offers an online newspaper of sorts. But, it is now one large community news service for Ireland, and the stories are created by you. As a member you submit your stories to your County/Section of choice for others to read.

Android On The Samsung Omnia

There is a very exciting project currently in the making! It's Android ported to run on the Samsung Omnia, it is known as ANDROMNiA. I have to say, I haven't been this excited about a project in a long time! Mainly because I have been half tempted to change phones lately, I have my Omnia about a year now and was actually thinking about getting an Android based phone, but if I had the option of using this instead on my Omnia I'd jump at it, there is just something about the look and feel of the Omnia that still gets me since Day 1! And that mixed with Android would just be 100%!

Don't Go Phishing on Twitter

I received a direct message on Twitter today which said "Haha - is this you?" and a link to a website, the link is directed to a phishing site to collect your Twitter account details, the site is identical to Twitter, apart from a misplaced < symbol on the top. Many people might get stung by this because you're coming from Twitter, asked for your Twitter account details, so by habit you will type them in.

What to look out for

What Do I Get On Sky FTA?

After the great response I got from my post Sky Channel Codes - All You Need (7k views and counting) I decided to post a list of all the Sky FTA Channels, these are channels you can receive with either a FTA box or a Sky Box without a digicard, or an expired digicard.
Here's what you get:

Get Paid To Use Twitter?

Yup, you read it right, now you can make money by using your Twitter account! A new service Ad.ly has launched that lets you run adverts in the form of Tweets on your Twitter account. At first that mind sound a bit pushy, you could be thinking "I don't want some robot sending out 400 Tweets a day on my account of pure rubbish". Well you don't have to worry about that, when you sign up you choose 4 subjects that describe you, these will be the basis of your Tweets(Ads).

Time for a new beginning

Hi Guys,

First I want to say sorry for the lack of things going on here! I have been really really busy with my project over at http://ciorcal.com lately, and other personal issues that need my full attention. But from tonight (well tomorrow!) I will be making a fresh start of Elf KNows IT. The plans are:

Spam Bots - CAPTCHA Changes

I'm having a serious problem with spam bots lately on the site, so I will be playing around with some different CAPTCHA settings over the next few days to see what settings will work the best. Sorry for any problems this might cause!

Thanks
-Mark
