Tough conditions at Nationals in Kilbeggan

THE RACECOURSE in Kilbeggan, Co Westmeath, was the venue for the first of this year's national cross-country championships.
The venue was ideal but the weather being cold, windy and wet made for difficult conditions: difficult for athletes but also difficult for supporters and mentors who had to endure the terrible conditions for close to six hours.
